Investigation boards were set up for schemes in Bundaberg, the Burdekin-Haughton, Mareeba-Dimbulah and the Lower Mary, to further investigate how local management could operate in each area. As a result Burdekin-Haughton and Mareeba-Dimbulah boards submitted revised Business Proposals for government to consider, while Bundaberg and the Lower Mary decided to withdraw from the local management process.
